About Us

We’re a family of friends and neighbors who have been brought together by God’s own special work. He rescued us from our own hell-bound destructive lives, and gave us new life so that we now love Him and devote ourselves to doing His work.

As a Baptist church, we affirm the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, including:

• The Trinity – God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
• The authority and truthfulness of the Bible
• Salvation exclusively through faith in Jesus
• Heaven and hell

Our view of baptism distinguishes us from some churches, for we only baptize believers, rather than infants who are too young to have faith for themselves.

We are a mission-minded church. We put all out effort into gospel ministry to help our own church members grow spiritually, and to share Christ’s good news with others in our community and throughout the world. We want to help people discover their roles in carrying out God’s great plan.

We are a self-governing church. We make our own decisions about our church’s ministry through majority rule and through leadership of our chosen pastor and other elected spiritual leaders. We are freely affiliated locally with 14 other like-minded churches in the Monongahela Baptist Association, and with the 322 churches of the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware. We cooperate freely with other Bible-believing churches of other denominations in the area.
